Yannick Rieu - Génération Quartet

For his new opus, Génération Quartet, Yannick Rieu returns to the quartet format (piano, double bass, drums, and saxophones). Since the beginning of his professional career, Rieu has continually navigated between projects rooted in electric or electronic approaches (Non Acoustic Project, Spectrum, Da Li, MachiNations) and those centered on acoustic instrumentation (L’art du Trio, Balade Ballades, Saint-Gervais—the latter receiving the “CHOC” distinction from the French magazine Jazzman).

These parallel paths converge and enrich one another, allowing Rieu to approach each project with a sense of originality and relevance consistently praised by critics and embraced by audiences.
