Mireille Boily - Refuges Mouvants

A complete artist and deeply committed musician, Mireille Boily seamlessly embodies the roles of singer, composer, lyricist, and orchestrator.

With a rich and extensive professional career, she is a respected jazz musician both in Quebec and internationally. She has taken part in several international tours, most recently in China as a soloist with the show Cavalia. An integral figure on the Montreal jazz scene, she has lent her voice to numerous composers, including Jean-Nicolas Trottier (Elements – Tales From Within), Philippe Côté (Lungta), Joel Kerr (False Dawn), and Rafael Zaldivar (Consecration).

The Orchestre de Jazz de Montréal has not only invited her to perform in multiple concerts, but also commissioned her to compose Les chants du Phoenix, a work for which she received support from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. This concert earned her a nomination for “Jazz Concert of the Year” at the Opus Awards.
