Nominated for a 2021 Juno Award in the Jazz Album of the Year: Group category, the Emie R Roussel Trio gained international recognition with its latest album, Rythme de passage.
Winner of numerous awards over the years—including the Stingray Rising Stars Award (2018), a Félix Award at ADISQ (2015), an Opus Award (2014), and Radio-Canada Jazz Revelation (2014–2015)—the trio has established itself as a key voice on today’s Canadian jazz scene, with a remarkable rise since 2010.
In recent years, the group has performed in 12 countries across four continents. In April 2019, the Emie R Roussel Trio was honored to present an official showcase at jazzahead!.
