The Christine Jensen Group presents Quiescence—new music for small ensemble, shaped by the artist’s creative expression during the pandemic.
Based in Montreal, saxophonist, composer, and bandleader Christine Jensen has brought her music to audiences around the world. She was awarded the Oscar Peterson Prize at the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2017, and has received two Juno Awards for her orchestra recordings Treelines (2011) and Habitat (2014).
Christine also co-leads the ensemble Nordic Connect with her sister, trumpeter Ingrid Jensen. Their latest recording, Infinitude, featuring guitarist Ben Monder, was nominated for a Juno Award in 2017.
