Bourassa chose to record his new quartet compositions live before an audience at the iconic Studio Piccolo. Recorded on July 2 and 3, 2022, this project echoes the quartet’s 2001 album Live at the Top of the Senator, which received a Juno Award at the time.
The energy and spontaneity of a live recording are often unmatched—and it is precisely this spirit that the François Bourassa Quartet seeks to capture and share with this new release.
