After touring Circum Continuum across several continents between 2016 and 2020, the Auguste Quartet returns with a new opus exploring notions of time, contrast, and sonic texture.

With Exalta calma, the group layers opposing forces, evoking inner tensions that can inhabit a painting, a person, or even a single sound. Rather than chasing the thrill of speed, the music leans into shivers, the elasticity of phrasing, and a restrained sense of exultation.
